1What Personal Data Do We Collect?

Depending on the services you utilize, we may process the following categories of personal data:

• Full legal name, date of birth / age, gender, and marital status.
• Mobile phone number and email address, along with OTP verification status.
• Country, state, district, city, language, education, profession, income range, and family details (parents and siblings).
• Matrimonial preferences and partner matching criteria (age bracket, height, community, caste preferences).
• Uploaded selfies, profile photographs, and biographical descriptions (About Me).
• Subscription status and transaction records. Sensitive financial credentials (credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking) are processed exclusively by RBI-authorized payment aggregators (e.g. Razorpay); we NEVER store full card or banking credentials.
• Technical access records, such as essential session cookies (`wp_session`), error logs, and security audit logs required for lawful operation.

2Why Is Your Information Processed?

We process your personal data strictly for legitimate matrimonial matchmaking purposes:

• Creating and authenticating your account with mandatory OTP verification.
• Presenting prospective life partner recommendations based on mutual preference compatibility.
• Displaying your profile and photographs to other registered members according to your visibility settings.
• Transmitting essential transactional notifications (OTP verification, billing receipts, security alerts, and support responses).
• Reminding users to complete partial registration steps where lawful consent and regulations permit.
• Investigating, preventing, and mitigating fraud, duplicate accounts, and platform misuse.
• Complying with statutory requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Promotional Communications: Consent for marketing offers and promotional newsletters is obtained separately. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time via your account settings or unsubscribe links.

3Consent and Data Principal Choices

By submitting your information and checking the consent declaration during registration, you grant explicit consent for processing your personal data for matrimonial matchmaking. Promotional marketing consent is optional and kept distinct from core service processing consent.

You may adjust profile information and photo visibility at any time in your account settings. To withdraw consent, utilize your account privacy controls or email Wedding.pulao.matrimony@gmail.com. Please note that certain features (such as mutual connections or contact sharing) may become unavailable if consent for required data is withdrawn.

4Who Can See Your Profile and Photographs?

Your profile and photographs are displayed strictly according to your selected privacy preferences:

• Showing profile only to OTP-verified members.
• Restricting contact numbers or photographs until mutual interest is accepted.
• Photo visibility upon explicit request and approval.
• Temporarily pausing or hiding your profile from matchmaking search results.

Please upload only photographs that you explicitly authorize for matrimonial matchmaking purposes. Users must obtain mutual consent before sharing candidate details outside the platform. While we enforce strict access control within our application, complete technical prevention of external member screenshots or copying cannot be guaranteed.

5With Whom May Your Information Be Shared?

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or brokers. Limited personal data may be processed by trusted partners strictly on a need-to-know basis:

• Hosting & Database: Next.js Cloud Infrastructure (Vercel) and encrypted PostgreSQL Database clusters (Prisma ORM).
• SMS & OTP Providers: Telecom Regulatory Authority (DLT) certified SMS gateways (Fast2SMS / MSG91) and authenticated transactional email relays.
• Payment Processors: RBI-licensed payment aggregators (Razorpay) for membership checkout and fee settlement.
• Registered Members: Prospective life partners strictly matching your visibility filters.
• Law Enforcement & Statutory Bodies: Competent legal or government authorities strictly upon valid, lawful statutory orders or official cyber safety inquiries.

Our primary databases are hosted securely in India. Any cross-border infrastructure processing complies strictly with jurisdictions and transfer mechanisms permitted under the DPDP Act 2023.

6Data Retention and Erasure Policy

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide matrimonial services, ensure security, resolve disputes, or satisfy statutory record-keeping obligations:

7Rights of Data Principals (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the statutory right to:

• Review and download an electronic summary of your personal data (Right to Access & Portability).
• Update, correct, or complete inaccurate matrimonial details (Right to Correction).
• Adjust profile and photograph visibility at your discretion (Visibility Controls).
• Opt out of non-essential communications or revoke promotional consent (Opt-Out).
• Request permanent deletion of your account and personal identifiers (Right to Erasure).
• Escalate grievances directly to our designated Grievance Officer.

To safeguard account security, reasonable verification (such as OTP confirmation) may be required before fulfilling requests.

8Security Safeguards

We apply robust industry-standard safeguards to protect your personal data, including TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit, one-way cryptographic salted password hashing (Bcrypt), dual-channel server-side OTP validation for mobile and email verification, and role-based administrative access restricted to authorized personnel. No electronic transmission is 100% impenetrable; if you observe any suspicious activity, immediately notify Wedding.pulao.matrimony@gmail.com.

9Protection of Children (Age Restriction 18+)

Wedding Pulao is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 years or older. Creating matrimonial profiles for minors, or uploading personal data or photos of children, is strictly prohibited. If we discover that an account has been created for a minor, it will be immediately terminated and permanently purged without prior notice.

10Cookies and Technical Information

We utilize essential session cookies (`wp_session`), security tokens, and language preference storage (English / Hindi) necessary for platform authentication and navigation. We do NOT deploy intrusive third-party cross-site advertising trackers. Disabling essential cookies in your browser will prevent authenticated login.

We may update this Privacy and Compliance Notice periodically to reflect technological, operational, or legal developments. The latest version will always be published on this page with an updated revision date. In the event of material changes, registered members will be notified via their registered contact details or account dashboard.
